Phoenix
at Golden State
Let us not speak of foolish things.
There are 11 games on tonight. You might be intrigued by Kobe in Toronto,
taking on the dispirited Lakers. You might wonder if LeBron James has it in him
to try and come close to the 61 that Kobe put on
the Knicks on Monday, when his turn at Madison Square
Garden comes tonight.
Perhaps Chicago can steal one
in New Orleans,
with the Hornets down to one All-Star. Maybe the Nuggets are due for an upset
with a gimpy Chauncey Billups either in or out of the lineup against Oklahoma City.
Maybe the Hawks in Minnesota
interests you, two different teams going in two different directions. Houston and Memphis, adidas Originals ZX,
greybeards on a back-to-back against a batch of young studs with no idea? Portland and Dallas, two
solid teams playing solid ball keeping things super solid with a side of solid.
You might even watch the Nets play the Wizards, because you have Mommy issues.
But above all,Terrex Fast X FM GORE TEX, you want a bit of that Suns/Warriors action.
You want 132-118. Even if it isn't a close game. Even if the Suns are turning
up the defense (up to 18th!). Even if the Warriors could grab the win that
eluded them against the Spurs on Monday against the team that was up by 50
against Sacramento
for a little while. You need this, especially in February, when all the rumored
trades all seem to fail you, and the All-Star break is still over a week away.
You need it because you remember how wonderful a thing Vonteego Cummings
(above) was, what he was named
after, adidas Equipment 10 M, and you remember when Vinny Del Negro (also above) wasn't out to
hurt your favorite team.
We're here to tell you that this is OK. It's more than OK,
actually. It's a little bit of awesome. It's the super Suns against the team
with 47 wings who shoot 48 three-pointers a game. It's the Suns and Warriors,
and it's long overdue.
(And it happens again on Friday. Good league.)
Phoenix Suns:
26-20, 94 possessions per game (6th), 110.7 points scored per 100
possessions (5th), 109 points allowed per 100 possessions (18th).
Golden State Warriors: 15-34, 97.4 possessions per
game (1st), 107.6 points scored per 100 possessions (14th),
112.5 points allowed per 100 possessions (29th).
